The Lake Cumberland Bluegrass Festival began as just an idea in September 2003 and became a reality in August of 2004 with the first festival being held at the Russell County Fairgrounds in Russell Springs. In 2006, the festival moved to the KOA Campground near Lake Cumberland to accommodate the camping bluegrass fans. Each year, the weekend festival gets a little bigger and the bluegrass music is consistently great!\u00a0 National touring acts such as Dailey and Vincent, The Bluegrass Cardinals (reunion),\u00a0 JD Crowe and the New South, The Boxcars, Russell Moore and IIIrd Tyme Out, The Band of Ruhks, Flatt Lonesome, Rickey Wasson, and Marty Raybon have played the festival as have many local and regional acts.\u00a0 It’s always a great time in Russell Springs!!<\/p>\n
